We have recently incorporated a new robot from the manufacturer Vollmer into our production line—specifically the Vollmer QXD250 model. This is a state-of-the-art solution designed for the finishing and maintenance of tools with polycrystalline diamond (PCD) cutting surfaces.
The Vollmer QXD250 is specially engineered for high-precision work on PCD tools. This material has become essential in the industrial wood sector due to the increasing use of modern, highly abrasive materials. These applications demand extreme precision, superior finish quality, and high tool resistance—qualities where diamond stands out unquestionably.
Our company currently operates three robotic machines dedicated to diamond tool processing. With this new addition, we are expanding our production capacity through an automatic tool loading system. Previously, this technology was only available on one of our machines, while the others operated with manual loading.
Automating the loading process allows us to increase productivity by up to 2.5 times, while significantly improving operator safety and the overall efficiency of the production process.
Thanks to its high workload capacity, excellent finish quality, and the extreme precision provided by this new technology, we are taking another step forward in the continuous improvement of our products. This allows us to increase the accuracy and durability of our tools, optimize delivery times, and reinforce the productivity we offer to our clients.
This project was supported by an incentive from the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha, with an investment of thirty-two thousand nine hundred and one euros (€32,901.00), of which ten thousand six hundred and thirty euros and thirty-one cents (€10,630.31) were granted. The project is 80% co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), under the framework of the project:
"Achieving a more competitive business fabric"
